| UpperBid is now eliminating dutch auctions from the seller listing options. Experience has proven that the Dutch auction is a failed auction format that is very confusing to most buyers. We are, of course, still allowing the sales of multiple item auctions in the fixed price format. |

| We have added the insurance calculation to any PayPal payments made by buyers who click on a seller's PayPal button on this site. If insurance payment is required, it will automatically be added to the buyer's invoice. If it is optional, it will give the buyer the option to accept or reject the insurance before arriving at PayPal. Sellers need to pay attention to this on the buyer's payment notice received from PayPal. |

| Sellers now have the ability to reset their automatic relist option for all their auctions with one click. This means you can change all your currently listed auctions to automatically relist from 0 to 50 times without making any other auction changes. Just simply login to your user account and select the "Selling" link. You will then see the option right above all your listings on the first page. Select your choice, then click the button. It's that easy. |

| We have added the ability for immediate PayPal payment for buyers on listings where the seller has specified flat rate shipping costs or used the shipping calculator to enter weight and size. Sellers must select the check box that appears after selecting PayPal as one of your options. The PayPal payment button will then appear immediately at auction end on the listing page and in the purchased area of the buyer's account, and will use the email address registered in the seller's UpperBid account. This will only work with buyers in the United States, you will still have to coordinate via email for international buyers. |

In a response to an overwhelming amount of fraud in online auction transactions, UpperBid.com took the lead today by implementing the most in-depth degree of seller verification among all online auction sites, even surpassing the verification process of industry giants. By partnering with Trufina.com, the leader in providing online identity verification and management services, UpperBid has ensured that all sellers will go through an in-depth and thorough identity verification process. This seller verification process now required by UpperBid is the toughest in the industry. UpperBid is also offering the identity verification to our buyers who wish to provide proof of their identity to sellers.
“Our goal is to provide the greatest degree of assurance we can to our buyers that the person they are dealing with is exactly who they say they are,” says Robert King, CEO of UpperBid Online Auctions, “and our partnership with Trufina has now made it possible for our buyers to purchase from our site with a new level of security.” Identity verification will not ensure that every seller is honest, but it will most certainly make them think twice before partaking in any fraudulent activities since they will not be able to keep their real identity a secret from law enforcement.
As the first online auction site to implement such a stringent verification process for sellers, UpperBid is charging ahead as the trendsetter in combating online auction fraud. In addition, it appears that Trufina is set to be the leader in providing these types of services to other online auction sites that will most likely follow suit on what is definitely an effective means in ensuring the identity of online users and minimizing fraudulent transactions. "UpperBid solves a core problem of eCommerce by bringing together consumers and merchants searching for a safe and secure shopping experience, says Chris Madsen, Trufina's President/CEO. "By using Trufina's ID Server API, both buyers and sellers can be assured that they are dealing with a real, unique individual."
All new sellers going forward will now have to go through this verification process to sell on our site, and we are encouraging all existing sellers to go through the process as well in order to increase their sales volume by providing buyers the assurance that they are who they say they are.
Though we are not requiring buyers to take part in this process, they can also become verified if they wish to provide assurance to the seller that they are who they say they are.
A unique aspect of Trufina is that sellers and buyers can reveal selected aspects of their identity to each other through the Trufina website, including name, address, and/or phone number, etc. |

| Sellers now have the ability to post and/or delete multiple photos at one time rather than listing or deleting them one by one as before. Select the more link behind the photo box and it will drop down more browse boxes. You can fill in up to five boxes and then hit the submit button for just one upload. Deleting photos is even easier, simply check the photos you want deleted and hit the delete link.
In addition, you can now specify your sales tax rate for your state so the buyer will know they must pay sales tax if they live in that state. |

| There have been some wonderful additions to the Sold section of the My Account area which will streamline the organziation of sales related functions. They include the following:
1) A new status column of two toggle selections of either unpaid/paid and pending/shipped. They begin in blue with unpaid and pending, but when clicked they change to paid and shipped in red. These can toggle back and forth as you desire.
2) There is now a buyer notification under each title that lets you know in blue if they have not left feedback and in red if they have.
3) There is now a blue feedback link in the Action column where you can click and leave feedback. If feedback has already been left, it will turn red and you will no longer be able to click it.
All sellers should use the feedback features to email buyers and remind them to leave feedback (just click the buyer email link in the Winner column and type whatever message you want to send them). This will bring them back to the site to again look at your stuff and will also help you move up the featured sellers column on the home page since that column is based upon the amount of feedback received. |

By clicking on the email address, a new page will open up with all the pre-filled information needed to send a request for payment. Once it has been sent, the email address will then turn red to let you know you have already sent them an email. You also can still send other emails to the buyers through the same interface later if necessary. |
